About Buckeye Spindles

Putting a modern spin on woodworking, we use the most advanced machinery to make custom wood turnings.

We make everything to customers’ specs. Just send us a drawing or picture of what you need, and we will customize your order—from supplying furniture makers and retail stores with spindles, table legs, bedposts, pedestals or tapered furniture legs that enhance the look of furniture to making tapered wood plugs designed to plug small leaks in pipes and tanks for the industrial market.

Our Process

Everything is made to order, as we do not stock any items.

We work with you from concept to design, so send us a drawing or picture of what you need made, and then we will give you a quote. After placing your order, we will order the material and give you a timetable of when the job will be completed. 

We can ship via UPS or on an LTL freight truck, or you can pick up your order at our shop located in Millersburg, Ohio.

If there is something we cannot make to meet customers’ needs, we will refer them to someone who can. We are here to help in anyway we can.

  • What is your size capacity?

    We can turn up to 78 inches, but we can also handle bigger pieces.

  • What is the biggest diameter you can make?

    We can do 16 inches.

  • What species of wood do you work with?

    Most species of hardwood, including red oak, white oak, poplar, cherry, hickory, maple and  walnut, as well as some exotic woods such as sapele or mahogany.

  • Do you make turnings for exterior projects?

    Yes, we make porch spindles and columns.

  • Are you a woodworker who can make me a piece of furniture?

    No, we make parts that enhance furniture and sell them to furniture manufacturers.
